Somalia’s Prime Minister on an official visit to Djibouti

(Medeshi)- President Ismail Omar Gulleh of Djibouti met the visiting Somali Prime Minister, Omar Abdirashid Ali Sharmarke during his official visit to Djibouti on Thursday (March 12).

Discussions covered the bilateral relationship between Djibouti and Somalia, dealing with security, business and diplomacy. They agreed to strengthen their existing friendship.
Prime Minister Sharmake said that first and foremost Somalia and the Somali government appreciated the role Djibouti was playing in the reconstruction of Somalia. ” The President promised that his government would provide all the necessary support to Somali government for its reconstruction and for the war against terrorism, adding that “my government will always support the Somali government in fighting against terrorism”.
During his two day official visit, the Somali prime minister is expected to meet the Prime Minister and other officials. Prime Minister Sharmarke is accompanied by Minister of Foreign Affairs, Abdisalaan Hadliye Omar, Minister of Transport and Aviation, Ali Ahmed Jamac Jangili, and other officials.
