Somali PM calls on Security Forces to catch killers of a former Defense Minister

MoFA - Somali Prime Minister Omar Abdirashid Shamarke has vowed to do everything possible to bring to justice those responsible for the murder of former Somali Defense Minister Muhudin Mohamed who was killed in car explosion on Monday (February 15).

The Prime Minister said “Everything will be done so that the organizers and perpetrators of the murder get the punishment they deserve.” he said. He called the assassination attack a barbaric act, which had nothing to do with religion, and on behalf of the Federal Government, he extended condolences to the family. He said the deceased was a patriot who served his country and whose aim was to see a peaceful and united Somalia which had recovered from the destruction caused by the civil war. He has also been working as an adviser to the Speaker of the Parliament. Al-Shabaab claimed responsibility for the attack.
